Description

Colección joven con menos de 30 años de historia. El estado de conservación y preparación es bueno. Contamos con aproximadamente unos 30.000 ejemplares de los que casi 26.000 están informatizados. La información asociada a los ejemplares es completa en la mayoría de los casos. La preparación por excelencia es en piel en aproximadamente el 80% del total. Los huevos, esqueletos y las conservadas en alcohol son mayoritariamente de la península ibérica.

Objetivos

Utilización de la colección por parte de la comunidad científica completando y actualizando el catálogo de especímenes así como facilitando su acceso.

Puntos fuertes

Estudios morfométricos , de sistemática, biogeográficos, y moleculares a traves de la extracción de tejido y estudio de ADN. Tambien se están proyectando investigaciones basadas en el estudio de isótopo estables.
