Description
Es una base de datos sobre los Myxomycetes registrados en la región Neotropical. Esta amplia región biogeográfica se extiende por todo el continente americano, desde México hasta Tierra del Fuego (Argentina, Chile), alberga la mayor biodiversidad del mundo y cuenta con varios puntos calientes ("hotspots") de biodiversidad del planeta. La base de datos MYXONEOTROPIC se ha creado en 2015 y recoge las especies de Myxomycetes (Amoebozoa) citadas en la literatura. Junto al nombre actual de la especie se Incluye información nomenclatural, bibliográfica, geográfica y sobre sustratos, colecciones y herbarios donde se encuentran depositados los testigos de las especies. También permite la búsqueda por autores, países y colecciones. Hoy en día, esta base se utiliza como referencia para el proyecto MYXOTROPIC.
