Description
The Laboratory of Entomology (Dept. Biology, Section Zoology, Univ. Autónoma de Madrid) consists of seven persons involved in different projects related to faunistics, biology and ecology of butterflies (Papilinoidea and Hesperioidea, Lepidoptera [4 researchers]), weevils (Coleoptera, Curculionoidea [1 person]), and springtails (Collembola [2 persons]).
Each of the ‘subteams’ manages a small comparative collection; these are not formally organized, inventoried, or interlinked. Each of the collections is managed by the users, there is not a person in charge or a centralised database.
